Yes, Joel Osteen gives a very encouraging message, but he does not give a Biblical message to help people see that we are all sinners in need of a Savior. Many run to hear his message that satisfies their need to hear they are special and loved, and how they can have their 'best life now,' but when they slip into eternity, they will realize they never heard the saving message of the gospel; that we are sinners bound by sin, and in need of a Savior, and that God sent His One and only Son, Jesus, to be a substitute; He died in your place and mine on the cross for our sins, taking God's wrath He has towards us for our sins. But the good news is, that Jesus arose from the dead in bodily form, on the third day, and satisfied God's wrath He has towards us for our sins! If we turn to Him, expressing sorrow for our sins enough to turn from them with His help, and surrender our lives to Him, placing our complete trust in what Jesus did when He died for our sins as full payment for the guilt of our sins, and no longer place our trust in our good works as our way to enter heaven, then we will be free from the sin and guilt of our past and begin anew with Christ! That's the good news of the Gospel that you will fail to hear from Joel Osteen and many others who preach the gospel today...a gospel that satisfies the flesh and sends many to an eternity in hell. Please read the Bible and ask God to reveal His truth to you. Consider reading the Gospel of John, Romans, 1 John, 2 John, and 3 John to start with. God bless you.
Please consider reading the following information to see more reasons why he is considered a false teacher by many people, and please read the Bible and compare what he and anyone else says, who claims to speak the truth of God to you. (Acts 17:11) God bless you.
